Who runs this thing?

My name is Jarosław Rzeszótko, I'm known as "stiff" (or "sztywny" in Polish) and this is my home on the web. I'm a 19 year old programmer-wannabe from a small (80 thousands citizens) city in Central Poland.

I'm currently to finish High School, I also work for a German VC company writing web applications in Ruby On Rails. But computers aren't only my job, they are also my first and biggest passion in life. I always liked and pursued all the aspects of computing - I used and tested thousands of applications just for fun, created graphics, webpages, various kind of documents, I assembled/repaired/broke several computers, I used various operating systems, I learnt to program in a variety of programming languages etc. Not only that, I've got my first job because one of my current coworkers found my webisite on the Internet, most of what I know about computers I've also learnt through Internet, I've got to know a lot of important people through Internet etc.. My life would be totally different without computers, maybe that's the reason why this page is mostly about them.

At the same time, I'm trying not to become a total nerd. I'm exercising vigorously at least three times a week, I'm also actively interested in health / fitness / diet type of stuff. All this takes a lot of time, and my life wasn't always all that relaxing, so I've also got interested in time management / "self-help" (but I hate this term).

Like most people, I enjoy the widely understood "culture". I like science fiction / psychology books, rock music (with the exception being some hip-hop and electronic music performers, just use last.fm if you're curious) and good movies (ie. Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, The Libertine, Green Mile, The Saw).
